I'm Jared Beach. I work as a lead software developer working on the data lake / streaming platform for a Fortune 500 company. I've been a software developer professionally since 2017, so a little over nine years now.

This is my blog: roygbiv.dev. It's where I share ideas about software and write about the tools I'm building, like vat and gbiv. And it's a place to think out loud about my approach to AI-assisted development, which vat and gbiv are very much a part of.

For now it's mainly for me to share with the world how I'm actually doing AI-assisted development: the tools I'm building, the tools I'm using, what's working, what's not, and where I think the industry is headed.

Above all, I'm hoping this turns into a place where I can grow alongside other people and learn from them as much as they might learn from me.
